The Inner West is packed with founders, builders and tinkerers doing genuinely interesting things…so whether you're mid-build or still sketching on a napkin, we want to hear what you're working on.
Welcome to the Inner West Tech Advisory Committee.
Who we are
The Inner West Tech Advisory Committee is a collaboration between Inner West Council and Inner West Startups and Tech. We help startups and small companies who want to sell products and services to councils understand what councils actually need, and how to present their ideas so they land.
What we do
Councils receive a lot of approaches from companies with genuinely useful products, but too often the pitch misses the mark. It doesn't connect to the real problems councils face, or it isn't explained in a way that helps council make a decision. We bridge that gap. We help start-ups test their offer against what the Inner West Council needs, we draw on a panel of industry experts for specific problems, and we draw on our own experience and collaboration with Inner West Council to help companies get in front of the right people.
How it works
You submit your product or service through the form below. Our panel reviews applications, and where there's a strong fit, we make a recommendation and connect you into council.
What we are not
To be clear, we don't have any say in what council purchases, and we can't guarantee procurement or a contract. We're here to help small companies and startups understand what councils need and present themselves well. The decision always rests with council.
Got an Startup idea (or product) you'd like to pitch to Inner West Tech Advisory Committee?
Share as much as you like, just nothing confidential. A good rule of thumb: if you wouldn't want it shared publicly, leave it out.
